Wow it has been a while since I have sat down to blog. I guess that is for many reasons, mostly because I was not running. Once I was able to run in July, I originally thought that I would pick up where I left off, but I was wrong. I was not at that level at all. Part of me was scared that I would get injured again. I had self doubt that I should even be out there running. Lots of things going through my head.
Well after some major fighting in my head, and honestly missing the road I have decided that it is time. I need to get back out there. I did not hit any of my goals for running in 2011, guess they were a bit ambitious. Now that it is the end of December it is time to start to think about where to go in 2012. Many times I have thought about this. I have finally decided that 2012 is going to be the year of the half marathon for me.
The Half Mary is my favorite race over all. It is a perfect distance to be a challenge to run. This is a great distance to focus on a PR. That is exactly what I am going to do. I am running the Cleveland Half Marathon. I plan on finding many more different half Marathons to run though out the year (if there are any suggestions please let me know) I am looking forward to the Cleveland Half. This is going to be an exciting experience because I want to focus on a PR for this race.
I am also honored to be an official Blogger for the Cleveland Marathon again. As a busy mother of 2 boys I have learned just how much running has a positive effect on my life. It helps me to be more focused and a better mother. I am looking forward to sharing my journey towards the Marathon, and how I am striving for a PR for this race. I know that this is going to be an amazing experience, and I am looking forward to inspire others to try running for this great event. My goal is to compare the Marathon training and a PR training for a half marathon.
My other goal is to run at least one race for Charity. I am going to run with OAR. This is close to my heart and if I can help a great cause it is the perfect way for me to help. I will have my fundraising page set up soon, so be ready to see that.
You will see so much coming up in the next year for me. I am looking to show everyone that running is a sport for everyone. Anyone can get off the couch and go out for a run. It does not matter how fast you are, it only matters that you tried.
Keep Running:)

Just found your blog from the Cleveland Marathon site (how did I not know about you, btw???!!). Excited to follow your training - I know how hard it can be training and working and being a mom! Good luck!
